A Day In LA

I travel to Los Angeles and San Diego several times a year and have found some really cool places to visit during my stay. So, if you find yourself in the Los Angeles area this year and you're looking for something to do I have a few suggestions;
farmers market
Los Angeles Farmers Market- Located in Beverly Hills on the corner of Fairfax and 3rd, this is a must-do. Bring your appetite for inexpensive delectable treats from local growers, and experience prepared meals from around the world.

Venice Inn- In my previous post I wrote about the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica. If the Viceroy is not in the budget check out the Venice Inn which is in Venice Beach, CA, the next town over from Santa Monica. This quaint little hotel is VERY clean and affordable, and it's 2 blocks from the beach.

Guacamole and Chips

Coyote Cafe- Old Town, San Diego. NEVER have I had Mexican food this good. Cute older ladies making soft shell tacos the old fashioned way, your olfactory senses will pickup the aromas of finely tuned spices as you drive down the street. Just go!!!

Immaculate Conception, Old Town San Diego, Old Town San Diego Tourist Trap, photo, picture, image
Immaculate Conception Church- Old Town, San Diego. After you leave the Coyote Cafe, you may want to give thanks for a wonderful day. Whether you're a Catholic, a Pentecostal or just spiritual, you will feel the prescence of a being greater than yourself, which I know as God. If you do not believe, check it out for the architecture, and maybe you'll get a bonus blessing!

Viceroy Hotel in LA

If you are traveling to Los Angeles for a honeymoon or a much needed getaway, treat yourself by staying at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica. This is a very stylish boutique hotel located 2 blocks from the beach and walking distance from the Santa Monica pier. It can be pricy during peak season ($450), but we stayed there for Christmas and New Year for $230.00 per night. Oh, and it was 70 degrees every day

Boudoir Photography

So, you want to surprise your husband-to-be with a photo. A rather, um, sexy photo as a wedding gift. Well, you are not alone. I have received many requests for boudoir photos. It's funny, most women feel ashamed, or embarrassed to even prompt the conversation. Well it's easy. Simply say Nick, I want photos of me for my husband. I will say ok, fine, when do you want to shoot and do you need a makeup artist? It's that simple. So come on in and get your glamour shot!
If you are already married and want to add a little spark, come on down and get your glam on!!

The DEVIL is in your Fried Chicken!

Fried chicken has ruined the lives of many of our loved one's, just the way the devil likes. Fast foods and fried foods are all bad for us according to our medical professionals. Fried and fast foods in general are possessed, a wolf in sheep's clothing. And the chips and dips that cross your lips go right to your hips! These foods manifest themselves overtime with names like diabetes, high blood pressure, colon and prostate cancer.
If you have to eat meat at all, baking, broiling or steaming are great alternatives. To find great recipe ideas go to, www.cookinglight.com . Or, just become a vegetarian www.vegetariantimes.com or vegan, www.vegan.org . Yours truly is neither vegetarian or vegan 100%, which is like saying, "I play Russian Roulet only on the weekends".
Why post about the dangers of fried chicken on a primarily wedding blog?, because a bride has to fit into her wedding dress!

Fashion hater and proud of it!!

I must admit, I HATE the fashion industry. From having watched a few episodes of America's Next Top Model to the runway shows on 6th, I can truly say that I am no fan. I will however say that it is incredibly rewarding to do a fashion shoot or headshot session with a person who thinks that they are too heavy, short or ugly, and then make them look and feel great like they never have before, with a photograph!
When young girls and woman are constantly being saturated with the message that they have to be thin, and that their hair has to look like that, just be yourself! Be the best YOU can be. Thank goodness Tyra Banks got rid of those rediculous wigs. She is so beautiful without them. I really like Tyra Banks and the good that she does, but she was sending mixed messages.
TO CONFIDENCE AND LOVING WHO YOU ARE!!!!

Marc Scibilia

Marc Scibilia was born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, my hometown. I remember when Marc was born. Now he is a grown man with his own voice and vision often using social, religious and political themes. A prolific songwriter, his first album of solo piano was released at age 12. On his CD Fixity, Scibilia collaborated with Michael Tait of multi-platinum Grammy-winning rap group DC Talk. In 2007, Scibilia toured internationally, playing piano for Grammy-nominated rock group Sonic Flood. In 2008, Scibilia assisted in the writing of three songs that have been recorded by Sonic Flood for their album A Heart Like Yours. His parents Bob and Janine should feel VERY proud of their son's musical accomplishments.

Carmen and Adrian

Carmen Vale and Adrian Riera married March 28th, 2010 at The Douglaston Manor golf course in Queens, NY. As they say, "timing is everything thing". They had mutual attractions for each other, but at different times. Finally in 2009, a mutual friend connected them, and they connected, and connected, and connected.....
They both came back very tanned from a wonderful honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Planning a wedding can be challenging and stressful, so Carmen would tell any bride to be, "Give it to God and get some beauty sleep" Words to live by.
Congratulations to Carmen and Adrian on a wonderful wedding!!!

Yvonne is model who hails from Canada but currently resides in the tri-state New York City area. You may not know about her yet, but you will.
