Interview with percussion band DTour X in Curacao

I was on the lovely island of Curacao in May, 2013 filming this great percussion band called DTour X. They came on recommendation from television personality/producer and interior designer Nadin Benito who mentioned that I should check them out because they were awesome. I am very happy that she did, because they are, AWESOME! They play percussion music blending styles of Samba, Merengue, Salsa and a local rhythm called, Tumba. They don't stop there. They include Rock, Jazz and many other musical references to complete their unique sound. Their music is infectious and full of energy.
Curacao is a beautiful island in the southern caribbean sea, 55 miles off the coast of Venezuela, situated between Aruba and Bonair. Most people on the island speak the local language Papiamentu. English, Dutch, Spanish and Portugese are widely spoken.
If their music does not make you feel something good or make you smile, you must be in a coffin!
To hire this band for your next event, or wedding reception you can contact them them on Facebook,
https://www.facebook.com/dtourx.treme . They will travel worldwide!

My creation of Creative Voices Project

Last week I launched a new website called, Creative Voices Project. As a photographer I create visual products and as a musician I create sounds. Many of my friends and colleagues are creative types, some of which are so amazing that I cannot even comprehend how they were able to conceptualize what they do.
As a result, I wanted to create a platform for all of these talented people to share their stories, and inspire others interested. First in the series is celebrity tattoo artist Jon Mesa of Oxygen channels, Best Ink program.
Be inspired, be creative!
